Can you believe that we got to spend THANKSGIVING with the AMAZING & FABULOUS Aviva Stanoff?! It is no exaggeration to say that she is literally among America’s most accomplished and successful textile designers, and she traveled all the way to Grasse from San Diego, California to meet me (crazy, right?!) and learn about our non-profit Parfums de Vie and our new Villa des Parfums fragrances! She also gave me a couple of her fabulous cushions for the Villa!!!

So, it doesn’t happen everyday, but you know you’re meeting with someone super important when they arrive with an entourage……Aviva showed up to our place with her film crew!!! I am so glad we had plenty of room at Villa des Parfums to host everyone!!!

Aviva reminds me of the character Joy from the movie Inside Out, as she’s is one of the most enthusiastic, creative, joyful and full-of-life women that I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Her infectious personality naturally captured the hearts and the attention of all of the Parfums de Vie kids as she spent a whole day at our education center, teaching textile design. She had brought a suitcase full of white silk scarves of all shapes and sizes and a bag of Hisbiscus flowers that she had hand-picked in Mexico!!! She made a dye from the flowers and showed us how to fold and dip the silk into the dye to make different and unique patterns on the scarves! All the kids absolutely loved it! Her beautiful photographer Katie Kirchner captured this cool shot of the two of us with a few of the girls sporting their new designs!
